About:
Alamode make-up and hair was created in 2001, by freelance
make-up artist Denise McNulty, with the aim to providing
a professional, adaptable and individual service.
Denise began her professional career in hairdressing before
taking the decision to further her skills and knowledge
by moving to London to train as a make-up artist at the
prestigious London College of Fashion.
On her return to Edinburgh a few years later, she worked
within a top salon in the city centre, where she was a member
of their artistic team, styling make-up for photographic
work, fashion shows and hair shows, including the L'Oreal
Colour Trophy.
Denise has many other credentials, most notably for designing
make-up at the Clothes Show Live (in association
with Mizz magazine) as well as working for Italian
television, theatre, publications and weddings. More recently she has been teaching make-up to students through the further education sector in Edinburgh. Combining
her years of training, professional experience and knowledge
gives Denise the invaluable skills, edge and ability to
produce creative and individual
designs, from classic to contemporary through to retro and
period.
